Why this site exists
Because "just buy it from the vet" quietly costs American pet owners hundreds of dollars a year, and nobody was comparing the alternatives honestly.
PawPriceWatch is built and maintained by a business analyst with more than twenty years in financial services compliance, the kind of career that leaves you constitutionally unable to look at an opaque price and let it slide. The same medication, in the same box, routinely sells for two to three times more at a clinic than online, and the comparison sites that do exist tend to rank whoever pays them most.
So this site follows the rules a compliance reviewer would demand. Rankings are set by verified price per dose and nothing else. Every price is checked by a human and dated. Pharmacies must hold recognized US accreditation, and grey-market importers are excluded no matter what they pay. Retailers with no affiliate program are listed anyway. The complete ruleset is public on the methodology page.
The site earns money through affiliate partnerships with some of the pharmacies it compares, disclosed in full here. If that model ever pressured the rankings, the methodology page is the contract you can hold us to.
